Hennecke at the JEC
At the JEC Composite Fair in Paris from 13 – 15 April 2010, Hennecke GmbH will present process innovations in the field of the PUR-CSM (Polyurethane Composite Spray Moulding) technology. PUR-CSM uses spray technology to manufacture fibre-reinforced parts or compound mouldings made of filled or unfilled polyurethane systems. Highlights at the show will be a new spray mixhead for large outputs as well as samples from the automotive sector.
The new spray mixhead was designed for the manufacture of large dimensioned composite parts and offers a total output of more than 1,000 g/s – a novelty in polyurethane spray processing, according to Hennecke. Depending on requirements, it provides 150 – 800 g of reactive mixture per second. In addition, the necessary reinforcement of the part is provided by an individually connectable, electric motor driven glass fibre feed system with an output of up to 300 g/s. The short cut MN 14-2 CSM is therefore an ideal partner for spray applications with very large outputs, says Hennecke. Another advantage is the self-cleaning spray nozzle, a typical CSM feature which has also been implemented for this output range.
The company will also showcase various samples at the JEC to convince visitors of the flexibility and specific spray quality of its CSM technology. In the spotlight is a roof module for the German high-performance sports car Artega GT, which is the first series-production passenger car worldwide whose body is completely made of polyurethane. The high-tech part is also the first roof module in a composite design.
