Reilley elected to Dow’s board of directors

Dennis H. Reilley, retired chairman and CEO of Praxair, Inc., and chairman of Covidien Ltd., has been elected to its Board of Directors of The Dow Chemical Company, Midland, MI, USA.

Reilley spent the first 15 years of his career with Conoco, followed by 10 years with DuPont, where he was appointed chief operating officer in 1999. The following year he moved to Praxair, Inc. as president, CEO and chairman. In addition to his role as chairman of the global healthcare company, Covidien, Reilley is a board member of Marathon Oil Company, H. J. Heinz Company and the Conservation Fund. He is also a former chairman of the American Chemistry Council.
