Axel appoints new President

Effective 1 November 2009, Jacob (Jake) Axel has assumed the position of President of Axel Plastics Research Laboratories. The former President Frank Axel will remain with the company in the capacity of Chairman and CEO.

Jake Axel represents the third generation of family leadership for the New York-based company. He is a graduate of Brandeis University (2001) and an MBA candidate at Columbia Business School. In 2009, he was elected to the American Composite Manufacturers Association Board of Directors. As the board’s youngest member, he serves on the Membership Committee and the Transportation and Structures Council. In addition, he serves as Chairman of the Membership Committee of the Pultrusion Industry Council.
