Yantai Wanhua to introduce new TPU grades

Yantai Wanhua Polyurethanes Co., Ltd. will introduce its Wanthane TPU series at Chinaplas 2010 in Shanghai, China, from 19 – 22 April 2010. The new product family is a range of halogen-free, flame retardant, polyester-, polyether-, polycaprolactone-, and polycarbonate-based TPU grades as well as aliphatic TPUs with hardnesses from Shore 80 A – 95 A, tensile strength of up to 20 MPa and elongation at break of up to 500 %.

Pour gun with replaceable mixhead technology

Graco Inc. recently launched its Graco EP Pour Gun PU mixing head. Designed for open pour applications and closed-mould injection, the new applicator features updated mixhead technology that allows users to rebuild the mixing head on site instead of sending it back to the manufacturer for a rebuild.

During the JEC Composites Show in Paris, France, from 13 – 15 April 2010, KraussMaffei will be demonstrating its competence in injection moulding fibre composites using thermoplastics or thermosets. “Green” raw materials for the cosmetics industry

The Baycusan C product line satisfies the key requirements that the cosmetics industry places on “green” raw materials. For example, these ultrapure synthetic polyurethane dispersions, developed by Bayer MaterialScience (BMS) specifically for the cosmetics industry, are based on water and contain neither preservatives nor co-solvents. During their manufacture, process-related by-products, such as waste materials, are kept to a minimum, while the chemical reactions take place using energy-saving and efficient procedures under mild conditions.
