Krahn & Mitsubishi: biobased polyols for Benelux

KRAHN Chemie Benelux (Zaandam, the Netherlands), a distributor of specialty chemicals, just announced the start of a new cooperation with Mitsubishi Chemical Europe (MCE) (Düsseldorf, Germany), broadening its portfolio to include a range of innovative products.

Under the agreement, KRAHN Chemie Benelux will distribute a selection of high-quality products from MCE, including products such as BENEBiOL, a biomass based polycarbonatediol enabling unique property levels in the end product like outstanding stain and chemical resistance and superior soft touch and feel. The agreement includes also BioPTMG, a polyol that is manufactured from bio feedstocks. BioPTMG and BENEBiOL are used for various high-end polyurethane applications such as adhesives, coatings, TPUs, sealants, elastomers and fibers. Typical application areas are, e.g. artificial leather, consumer goods/electronics, automotive, apparel, high end fashion, functional textiles and industrial.
