New JV for automotive seating foam
Woodbridge (headwuartered in Mississauga, ON, Canada) and Chengpeng (Changzhou, China) have entered into a joint venture agreement to manufacture commercial and passenger seat foam, the company recently announced.
Woodbridge (Changzhou) Automotive Components Co., Ltd. will begin production in the second quarter of 2025 in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Changzhou, in the Jiangsu Province, China.
"Woodbridge (Changzhou) Automotive Components Co., Ltd. will be our newest manufacturing facility in China, expanding and diversifying our global presence," stated Bill Drury, Vice President, Asia. "Woodbridge is dedicated to strategically growing with new customers, and this joint venture will strengthen our capability to provide foam solutions in the world's largest automotive market."
Once production begins, the partnership aims to combine the resources and expertise of both companies to enhance market presence and drive innovation to meet the needs of the mobility market.
