Lubrizol will present a series of new thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) innovations at K 2025 in Düsseldorf, Germany, running October 8–15. The company’s engineered polymer solutions are used across adhesives, additive manufacturing, compounding, and molded and extruded parts.

Among the featured launches is Estane ZHF 87HP8 TPU, developed for thin cable applications requiring both mechanical strength and flame resistance. The grade complies with UL 1581 Section 1061 flame tests for small diameters and meets IEC 50363 and IEC 60332-1-2 standards.

Lubrizol will also highlight its expanding adhesive TPU line. The latest additions – Pearlbond Eco 590 HMS TPU, Pearlbond 360 TPU, and Pearlbond 920L TPU – are designed to give manufacturers greater processing versatility. Applications range from seam tapes and webs to furniture edge banding, where consistent bonding performance is essential.

In addition, the company will present Estane D91T86 TPU, a material that moves beyond molded specialty parts into high-performance films and extruded components. According to Lubrizol, the grade delivers enhanced weatherability and UV resistance compared with conventional aromatic TPU.

“We are excited to expand our advanced TPU solutions into cutting-edge applications such as cables, films, and adhesives,” said Ivo Oerlemans, Business Director, Lubrizol Engineered Polymers EU. “Looking ahead, we are driving growth with innovative PVC and rubber replacements and empowering our customers with productivity, consistency, processability, and reliability of supply.”

Lubrizol positions its TPU specialties as highly versatile, durable materials that enable flexible solutions across industries ranging from electronics to furniture and consumer goods. The K Show will provide the company with a global platform to demonstrate how its latest developments address safety regulations, sustainability goals, and performance demands in end-use markets.
