News sources in Türkiye report the systems house is eyeing international growth.
Turkish polyurethane systems producer Flokser Kimya plans to increase exports from 35% to 45% of total revenue by 2026, driven by growth in polyurethane, polyurea, and polyester-based products across new global markets, according to a report in local news outlet Analiz Gazetesi.
Currently exporting to more than 55 countries, including in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Russia, the Istanbul-based company said it will focus its next expansion phase on the United States, South America, and Central Asia. CEO Ekin Tükek said these regions hold “strong growth potential in polyurethane-based insulation and construction chemicals,” adding that rising demand for sustainability- and energy-efficiency-oriented products is helping support Flokser’s international expansion strategy.
With over 40 years of industry experience, Flokser Kimya supplies polyurethane systems for refrigeration, sandwich and cold-room panels, adhesives, polyester polyols, polyurea coatings, and ballistic protection applications. Its products are widely used in the automotive, footwear, construction, insulation, defence, and flexible foam sectors. The company’s energy-efficient PU insulation systems and Anafarta ballistic coatings have become key differentiators in international markets.
Flokser currently derives around one-third of its revenue from exports but aims to reach 50% in the medium term by expanding capacity and strengthening its global distribution network. “We continue to invest in production and our international distributor base,” said Tükek. “In new markets, we will prioritise certified spray systems and PIR insulation systems that align with sustainability trends and regional requirements.”
He added that the company’s R&D centre is developing low-VOC, water-based, and energy-saving polyurethane systems that comply with the European Green Deal, providing a competitive edge in environmentally conscious markets.
“Our export activities are not only a commercial goal but also a strategic step toward positioning the Turkish chemical industry as a stronger player in the global value chain,” said Tükek. “Through high value-added production, sustainability, and innovation-driven growth, we will continue to contribute to both the national economy and the transformation of our sector.”
