Speciality chemicals distributor Azelis has signed a distribution agreement with Milliken & Company to supply polyurethane colorant solutions to the coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers (CASE) market in India.
Under the agreement, Azelis will distribute Milliken’s Reactint polyurethane liquid colorants across the Indian market, providing customers with access to colorant technologies designed to deliver consistent color performance, durability and ease of handling in PU formulations.
The partnership expands Milliken’s reach in India’s growing CASE sector while strengthening Azelis’s portfolio of materials for polyurethane applications. Azelis will support the products through its local sales network, technical expertise and application development capabilities.
The companies already have an established commercial relationship in the EMEA region, and the new agreement extends that collaboration into India.
Milliken’s Reactint colourants are widely used in polyurethane foams, coatings and other PU systems where precise color control and stability are required. According to the companies, the liquid colourant range is also compatible with recycling processes for polyurethane foams, helping enable higher recovery of materials without discoloring reclaimed polyols.
The technology can also improve durability and aesthetic performance in industrial and decorative coatings based on polyurethane chemistry.
By adding the Reactint portfolio to its offering in India, Azelis aims to provide polyurethane manufacturers in the region with a broader range of colourant and formulation solutions for the CASE market.
Aparna Khurana, managing director India and market segment director Personal Care & Home Care & Industrial Cleaning APAC, Azelis, said: “We are pleased to work with Milliken to support the expansion of its polyurethane colorant solutions in India. Milliken’s established expertise and leadership in polyurethane applications, combined with Azelis’s local market presence and technical support, allow us to deliver meaningful value to customers.”
Daan Vanwynsberghe, global business unit director, polyurethane, Milliken & Company, said: “India has been a key market for Milliken’s polyurethane business for many years. This agreement supports our long-term growth strategy by strengthening our ability to serve customers across polyurethane applications, while selectively expanding into new segments through a distribution partner with strong local capabilities.”
