Rampf will present polyurethane and silicone sealing technologies for high-speed manufacturing applications at Foam Expo North America, which takes place in Novi, Michigan, from June 23–25.
At booth 2314, the company will showcase sealing foams and elastomer gaskets based on its Raku Pur polyurethane and Raku Sil silicone systems, aimed at sectors including automotive and electric mobility, electronics, household appliances and packaging.
The materials are designed to protect components against moisture, dust, chemicals and harsh operating environments. Rampf highlighted applications such as battery housings, lighting systems and structural components for electric vehicles, along with control cabinets, enclosures and LED systems.
The systems are applied as formed-in-place gaskets (FIPG) or formed-in-place foam gaskets (FIPFG) using automated dispensing equipment. According to the company, the process enables joint-free sealing, precise adaptation to complex geometries and direct adhesion to components, while reducing assembly time and eliminating the need for dedicated tooling.
Rampf said the products are available either as standard grades or as customised formulations tailored to specific manufacturing requirements. The company also emphasised its ability to combine resin-system development with automated mixing and dispensing technology, as well as offering contract manufacturing services for low-volume or intermittent production.
In addition to sealing materials, Rampf will exhibit its Raku Tool rigid polyurethane boards for tooling and modelling applications. These boards are used for applications including casting moulds, support structures for close contour pastes, CNC program testing and styling and master models. The company said the materials combine low weight with high mechanical strength, good surface quality and resistance to heat and organic solvents.
Foam Expo North America is being held at the Vibe Credit Union Showplace in Novi and is one of the largest events dedicated to technical foam products and manufacturing in North America.
